SA Health is hosting the Preparing, Sharing and Caring for Cognitive Impairment conference at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Key note speakers:
1. Professor Susan Kurrle is the Curran Professor in Health Care of Older People, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney, and the Director, NHMRC Cognitive Decline Partnership Centre. Sue will be presenting on improving outcomes for older people with cognitive impairment in hospital.
2. Associate Professor Mark Yates is the Director of Clinical Studies, Grampians Clinical School (Ballarat) School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Deakin University, and Geriatrician at Ballarat Health Services.
Mark will be presenting the Dementia Care In Hospitals Program – a shared national initiative.
3. Anne Cumming is the Principal Advisor, Cognitive Impairment with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. Over the past four years Anne has been working to increase recognition of
cognitive impairment as a quality and safety issue in Australian hospitals. Anne will be presenting on the Caring for cognitive impairment in the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
